At the moment, the cookie cutter 0/53/18 frostfire raid spec is the top raid dps build for a mage, but it is also the worst dps build for trash and quick fights. Frost is a superior spec for heroics and five mans, so stick with it as you farm heroics.
DPS in this guild has been a problem lately and unfortunately your current stats will not be able to put out competitive numbers compared to our current DPS.
I know you just dinged 80, but I will give you criticism based on where you are currently.
Spellpower: 1035
Hit rating: 0
Crit chance: 14.49%
Haste: 140
At first glance, spell power and criical strike chance seem decent for a new 80, but then there's the hit rating. Honestly, I don't see how it is possible to get to 80 and have absolute 0 hit rating. There are many many many opportunities for gear with hit rating, it's like you had to look and avoid hit rating completely. Hit rating is way too important of a stat to overlook and dodge. It doesn't matter how much spell power and crit you have if your spells are not hitting your target. The hit cap is 17%, 14% talented with 3/3 elemental precision. It's about 26 hit per 1%, making the hit cap 368 with 3/3 elemental precision (3%).
Decent stats for a starting frostfire spec'd mage would be around 1300 spell power, 25% crit rating (fire spells), 200-300 hit rating. This can easily be achieved with some heroic and 10 man gear, though it seems you'll want to gear up from heroics and 5 mans even before even 10 mans. Frostfire 0/53/18 specs are very crit friendly/dependent; you'll want to get a good amount of crit before getting haste.
Your stat priority should be hit > spell power > crit > haste
Looking at your talents, you do not 3/3 elemental precision on the 2nd tier of the frost tree and 3/3 frost channeling in the 4th tier of the frost tree. The 3% hit rating is absolutely essential to a pve spec unless you have extra hit rating to back that up. You will need an additional 26 hit rating to cap for every point not spent into this, making the capped hit rating 446 with 0/3. Three points into frost channeling is 10% mana cost reduction and 10% threat reduction. Unless you can manage your mana through fights 10 minutes or greater and be able to manage your threat, you should have 3/3 frost channeling. These talents are essential for frost, fire, and frostfire specs.
